The Fort Albany St. Anne’s Residential School Survivors will be in a virtual court hearing before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice from January 20–24, 2025. This hearing will address Canada’s attempt to dismiss Survivors’ request for directions from the Court.
Community members, allies, and supporters are invited to attend virtually to witness this important moment of truth-telling, reconciliation, and the pursuit of equal justice for the Survivors of St. Anne’s, who endured harm at the hands of the Canadian Government and Church officials.
This case, known as Metatawabin RFD #2, was filed by three St. Anne’s Survivors who stands against Canada’s failure to disclose key records denied many claimants fair compensation under the Indian Residential School Settlement Agreement.
