Maaskinaahchaasiuch is now booking for its 2025 Cree Snowshoe Making Course Calendar! Our team offers 3- to 6-week hands-on courses for up to 12 students, guiding participants through the full process of traditional Cree snowshoe making—from selecting and preparing tamarack to weaving the final bindings. Communities can choose full courses to make complete snowshoe pairs or shorter workshops focused on crafting miniature snowshoes.
These courses can be tailored for youth, adults, or staff teams, making them a meaningful way to strengthen community relationships, pass down cultural knowledge, and learn an important land-based skill together.
