Survivors Working Group member Rick Wabano delivered a powerful presentation in Moosonee on October 23rd, 2025. His talk, The Indigenous Experience in Canada, highlights the history of Indigenous peoples. Starting from sacred creation teachings and vibrant pre-contact societies to the impacts of colonization, residential schools, and the Sixties Scoop.
Community members gathered for an afternoon of learning, reflection, and meaningful conversation. We are grateful to everyone who attended and supported Rick in sharing this important history.
